Are we walking in darkness or light? This is not a trite question. How we answer that question will determine the state of our souls and the nature of our reward in heaven. Sadly, may claim that they are walking in the light but their lives don't bear it out. Challenge your students with this question as it is the topic of our study for next Wednesday night. Here are the notes: 11/04/09.
Consider This:
"Ignorance of God and of ourselves is the great principle and cause of all our disquietments; and, this ariseth mostly not from want of light and instruction, but for want of consideration and application."

Notes for 10/28/09
Hey Folks,
This passage that you will be teaching next wednesday is a great opportunity to help your students understand the evil of prejudice. We really want to encourage them to see how Christ was wholly against judging the condition of a mans heart solely by his outward appearance. Here are the notes for 10/28/09.
Have a great weekend and remember...
"The Lord prefers common looking people. That is why he made so many of them."
- Abraham Lincoln

A Special Refinery Detour
Hello Folks,
This week I am taking a little detour but for good reason. Instead of teaching the John passage assigned for today, we are going to be studying Ruth 4. I have explained all of this in the notes for 10/20/09. Please prayerfully prepare yourself to discuss this timely and life changing topic. We have a real opportunity to be a blessing to these students and families by helping them understand how Biblical manhood and womanhood fits into the greater picture of redemption. If you need any help please call or email. I am here to help you hit the target.
Love In Christ,
Mike
P.S. I'm still waiting on a group or groups to take me up on my Reformation Day celebration offer for October 31st.

I hope that you are having a good week and enjoying the fall weather. I am very excited about cool air, football, changing leaves, and most of all you guys. I am praying that the Lord will give you many opportunities to infuse each lesson with the Gospel.
Here are the teaching notes for 10/07/09
Don't forget:
"It is the "terror of the Lord" that causes us to "persuade" others, but it is the love of Christ that constraineth us to live to Him."
